Mark Making

Today was an information filled day with lots to take in about the course. We did a lovely exercise in the latter part of the afternoon when-in groups- we had large pieces of paper attached together and we had to Mark Make however we chose. It was a great opportunity to get to know the other girls and to get back into drawing. The relaxed atmosphere really allowed me to freely mark make and experiment with different drawing materials, strength of line, intensity, and I felt comfortable to try and draw with my left hand.

Seeing how other people chose to draw really gave me some inspiration for my drawing project of the week; filling an A3 double spread with experimental marks. I’m definitely going to experiment with mixing mediums together and using different strengths on line.
